Delta Shuttle - Dedicated Planes?

Can anyone tell me whether or not the planes doing the DL Shuttle routes LGA-BOS and LGA-DCA are flying only that route? Or are they flying other routes in the Delta (resp. Delta Connection) network as well?

If they do other routes as well, also from New York LGA? If yes, how do they manage those planes doing a shuttle flight with use of the Marine terminal, and then a "normal" flight from the DL terminal? They tow the planes between terminals or do they bus people?

Thanks

No, there are no longer dedicated Shuttle planes (either the DL-operated or the SHuttle America-operated ones), and yes, they do tow them (the DL mainline planes) between the MAT and the main Delta LGA terminal if necessary.

I'm not all that familiar with the operations at LGA, but I know that the aircraft are not dedicated to only the shuttle. For simplicity sake, I imagine that the planes that arrive at the Marine Air Terminal also typically depart from that terminal rather than being towed. However, there is ample opportunity for those birds to rotate in and out of the "shuttle" services at the other stations.

The LGA-MDW flights also operate from the MAT, so that allows the opportunity for E75's to rotate out at MDW (as ATL-MDW also has several E75's). There is also currently one daily LGA-BOS on the E75 as well that RON's at BOS and can be interchanged with an E75 on CVG-BOS that also RON's at BOS. In terms of the M88's that run LGA-BOS, those obviously can rotate back to ATL on the many BOS-ATL M88 flights.

Yes, that is true for the most part. However there are times when it's necessary to tow, for example, on Saturdays, practically all the BOS/DCA flights are operated by Shuttle America E75s, however, the mainline M88 comes back to some BOS flights on Sundays so they do tow an M88 over to the MAT from the main DL terminal in preparation for the Sunday BOS departure.
