I'm picky with food. No seafood, no fish, nothing with the taste of cheese in it (pizza and cheesecake are an exception since both foods don't have a cheesy taste), rarely any vegetables, only some fruits, barely anything with milk...how I've managed to live so far is a mystery.
Give me meat, protein, grains. More than satisfied.

That's what I'm cooking this evening. Finely chopped ham (or bacon, I love that even more) with a tad of milk and herbs wrapped in puff pastry. Then brushed with egg yolk and put into the oven for about 20 minutes at 180 °C.

Even a letdown, if it is thoroughly and final, is a step forward.
Yesterday, I did my stuff from above with chicken and curry, wrapped in puff pastry... you know. It might be sacrilege against the original recipe, but I like it.

Actually, I'm planning a Greek themed meal for about 10 or so for next week.
I'll be using a grill for the most part. The current plan is:
Tzatziki w/pita
Portabella mushrooms stuffed (topped) with feta, chopped spinach, diced tomatoes and finely chopped green peepers; grilled over low heat for 20 or so minutes
Backlava, homemade for dessert
Trying to decide on a main course for the grill. Don't want to do lamb. Won't do pork (a Muslim family is actually hosting, I'm cooking) Probably just a beef brisket slowly cooked and sliced just right. But, I'm open to ideas.

I have not been eating fancy food as of late. Right now, my favorite food is peanut butter and jelly sandwich. So good!
